Most of the time, you find yourself so caught up in the busyness of this modern, fast-paced life that you have little time left for witchcraft. The day's hustle starts from the moment you wake up until you get home and you feel so drained to do any magick!
Thankfully, there's a lot of ways to work around your crazy schedule. Here are 6 simple ways to practice witchcraft for the modern witch!
A routine may sound boring, but it may actually save you!
One good thing about having a set routine is that you'll have an anchor that prevents you from straying away from your high-priority tasks. Getting things done this way gives you time in your day to practice witchcraft.
Aside from a work routine, you should also have a witchcraft routine. For example, set aside Monday nights for thinking up new spells or making brews. Mark your calendar with important dates (like the Full Moon) so you can block your schedule and plan ahead!
A NOTE ABOUT SETTING UP A ROUTINE: Strictly following your schedule is important, but there are times when you can't avoid unexpected changes in your day. That's okay! Just don't let these distract you from your main tasks.
Don't think of witchcraft as something you can only do on your altar. If you look closely, magick is all around you!
Cast spells while taking a bath. Add magickal herbs and spices to your meals. Get rid of unwanted energy and welcome good vibes whenever you're sweeping the floor. In place of more formal rituals, simply sit by the altar and recall your day.
Of course, you'd have to schedule in rituals during special days like Samhain and be there as much as possible. But the more you find magick in everyday chores, the more you'll see how it's such a rewarding experience!
Yup, you read that right. Rest! Take a breather! Enjoy that cup of tea without frantically replying to emails!
Zooming through your day endlessly so you can tick off as many to do's on your list can actually be counterproductive. Set a specific time frame, like resting for 5 minutes for every 30 minutes' worth of work. Use your break to rest your eyes, stretch, or check your phone.
If you include rest in between hard work throughout your day, notice the improvement from your productivity to your mood! The best thing about this is when you get home after work, you'll still have the energy to do some simple magick or write in your Book of Shadows!
Whether it's the office or in your home, it's always a good idea to practice witchcraft where you spend your time the most.
You might want to keep a tarot deck in a corner of your office desk, or have an on-the-go deck inside your bag. If you can, light some incense in your workspace.
If you're the type to listen to music while doing errands, you should listen to playlists created by witches, for witches.
Whenever a super loaded day comes up, just slip on your favorite Wiccan shirt or wear your go-to pentacle necklace...and you're good to go!
